Our Team
Myteria is a Minecraft server built around original games, social spaces, cosmetics, community events, and a player-first multiplayer experience. We are looking for reliable people who care about Minecraft, creativity, and community.
Openings may include creative, community, testing, moderation, development, and production roles depending on what the network needs. Please be honest about your experience, availability, and the type of work you want to help with.
General Expectations
All applicants should meet the following base expectations:

- Have a dedicated interest in Myteria and Minecraft multiplayer servers.
Volunteer
All current openings are volunteer roles. Additional application categories will be added separately if they open in the future.
Java Game Developer
Expectations
- 1+ year of experience with Java.
- 1+ year of experience with the Bukkit/Spigot API.
- Basic to advanced understanding of backend operations.
- Available for 20-40 hours per week.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Playtester
Expectations
- Join scheduled Myteria playtests and community testing sessions when available.
- Report bugs with useful steps, screenshots, or clips when possible.
- Give honest feedback on pacing, balance, usability, and player experience.
- Help the team review games, hub features, cosmetics, and server systems.

Player Support & Moderation
Expectations
- Good understanding of Minecraft communities and player behavior.
- Previous experience moderating Discord, Minecraft, or other communities.
- Previous experience handling players using third-party modifications.
- Ability to handle reports, conflicts, and rule violations professionally.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team when needed.

2D Artist
Expectations
- 1+ year of experience working with Aseprite, GIMP, Photoshop, or preferred pixel art software.
- Strong familiarity with Minecraft's art style for 2D icons and GUIs.
- Basic to advanced understanding of resource pack implementations.

3D Modeler
Expectations
- 1+ year of experience working with Blockbench and Minecraft models.
- Advanced understanding of the technical aspects of Minecraft models.

Expectations
- 1+ year of experience working with basic tools such as WorldEdit.
- Good understanding of game and level design principles.
